Just returned from an incred mini-residency / relax at “Pressure Club” (the terrific, stacked up Philadelphia HQ of Goatmother Industrial + Ms. Lauren)… after hitting a lovely marina scene in MD. Learnt some stuff! Lil’ evidence below:

Rethought my ongoing “Shadow Instinct” project as Cyanotype Prints. Gotta a small batch of them done (w/ exit assist by the hosts becuz, no sun).

Then set off to the homeland, where Bengela and I applied the laying on of hands to help install this rad Crab Jackson action.

Justin Clifford Rhody’s “A Horse With A Name” very forthcoming from Rebel Hands Press + bound work by Aaron Beasley, and audio material by Teasips. Almost about that time.

Trying to tidily update the site, store, etc. WIP (done with that hashtag the moment I saw it). But yah, some freshness above.

2016 (season 3.5)

Summer arrived with a ding. bleh, trying to file all the work, studies, ideas, and general whatev’s away in their proper places here at table blue has become a royal pain. How dare these seasons.

And-uhhh yeh, some updates herein, the usual zones… new work!!

…and more new work, in the works, all the times! Building now to thunder down in the future days…

Amidst all the lackluster ______ this year has coughed up since awakening, we found “brexit”, which crashed straight to the bottom of the incredible portmanteau list frequently groomed and manicured by ms. E. Morgan and i.

Aside from portmanteaus, we also dabble in creating clever and humorous terms formed from disentangled sets of lettering found in the streets and alleys of our respective cities. Bound as a series titled Street Terms, volume II is currently rising to a slow boil…

SOOOOOOOO many ridiculously rad collabs going in/out the door here! very taser workings with J. Brennan, Crab Jackson (with homespun titles such as “legst” and “bagst”), burgeoning action between Rob Hessler and i, connecting existential dots w/ ms. E.K.D., pyschogeographing from heart emoji to heart emoji w/ j. shelley harrison all the whilst her + i plan an exciting ?mystery? show with LA’s own ms. Chelsea…some(thing) to do w/ hotels… and their rooms.

most of which will bubble and explode in the coming months!

2015 (Season Springed)

The cold thing, the clock thing, and now the spring thing…

Shelley Harrison, woodblock printing, finding new and excitingly complicated methods of coast-to-coast collab w/ Mr. Moerchen, absurdist how-to videos, decoder rings, hmm…what else…

Rebel Hands Press is super active, and we’re apparently “jazzed” about it… look for us this summer.

A pile of new sculpture materials just screaming at me from the other room,… things are srsly closing in.

2014 (Season FALL)

Fall!

But first, the summer(y)… Things got a lil’ garbage claw for a bit. Some things got srsly derailed. Sooooo…the last 1/2 of summer was decidedly tired date. Still managed to sprinkle up some work, woks, lotsa soup and salad, sound-making, seeing, sawing, scoring, shooting, screening, and so on and such. Alotta which can be seen here because seasonal site updates. More to come soon!

Aside from finishing off some of that noise, there is plenty on the platter… some 3-D, some 3-dimensionals, funny foods, piano preparations, uhm…books, a big archiving project (as soon as i acquire a new scanner), more collab action, and some other things will happen too.

Big hugs and thanks to everyone who put things together, and helped on some huge wins!

I hope it rains this year.

That’s right! For anyone who missed, or wanted to get another view of some work from our 2 day Feral Dynamics installation with Audim Culver and Ivy Siosi at the Church space, the ex-pats (Elaina and I) are now owling out at Bloomington’s top spot for rad meals…The Owlery!

a preemptive summer strike from table-blue… back here now with the usual = updates! sprinkles nails all around, digging into site bits here and there. check, check it.

dialed in with drone-like accuracy, this is what we’ve been working towards…more words from the Fort:

FERAL DYNAMICS presents a designed art environment, a lofted fort in the Indiana hills filled with animal investigations and modern obliterations, informed by a line of thought stretching from coast to coast. Many months of e- and tactile trades culminate in a weeklong terrestrial convergence at base camp, where works hang, stretch, and sprawl from floor to ceiling and beyond, the result of 3 overlapping layers of collaborative and solo research, external and internal.

The work of Siosi Design + Build is a study of humanity’s history of primary provisions; primitive weaponry, shelter, and art. The dynamic duo of Audim Culver and Ivy Siosi explore the course of “need and create” through bespoke tools, concentric neons, and incongruous hunting tactics.

The work of Bloomington expat Elaina Morgan takes its cues from the concurrent majesty and mess of her surroundings, chasing freedom in empire’s runoff. Brainscramble and heartache, ritualism and rhythm. perpetual restlessness and flag-waving resistance find form in symbols, crude construction, gut-scrawl, and mixed media pile-ons.

The work of fellow Bloomington expat Jeremy Kennedy peels back layers of paint and pages to reveal core concepts. Ideas and thoughts, complex and basic, float on waves of observations taken internally, and reinterpreted (often humorously) in a series of nearly universal one-liners.

The bows bend and arrows strike screens, splattering hyper-distracted imagery and bent verbiage over recent builds of many shapes and makes. Seeking refuge and skewing the sinister, these wily creatures cheat left, shoot straight, and return to the dirt of their wild roots.

2014 (Season 2)

Let’s Get Vernal!

Springtime = Bringtime…like, Table-Blue style, with the bringing of the usual array of updates around the site, so peruse away. I mean, if you want.

A-Side: from that, looking forward to returning to the middle section for some upcoming collab action w/ Ms. Elaina Morgan and Siosi Build+Design, panning for some gold times in the Bay-Bay area with the always taser Justin Clifford Rhody, and fingers x-ed for some well-spent time in points back east…

B-Side(s): that, PRINTS are now available of select original works! This is way new, so if you see something, say something (that means inquire if interested). Also, Table-Blue recently branched over to the tumblr set (tis here, still needs some love), and yes, future Rebel Hands Press matter is working its way to the surface, but at the moment, we’re busy thinking about trees…

2014 (Season 1)

Awlright! 2014….So far plagued by vertigo, a broken foot, and reoccurring dreams of a fictional type of big cat (kinda like a mix between a mountain lion and an ocelot, which come in small, medium, and big) called “pahcos”…more on that later.

So far so weird, but things are pretty taser factory. Work is still going strong (like a pahcos), as seen in this belated new year update session!

Aside from all that, coordinating currently with pals in the icy eastern parts for some exhibition styles in the upcoming warmer months. starting in the midwest, and then…onward.

In other newz- rebel hands press is still keeping it active, more active soon. Audio recordings, nose bleeds, burgeoning west coast action, and now accepting bitcoin.
